Very Cool James Cameron Quote

Reading: Very Cool James Cameron Quote

I don’t usually post this kind of stuff, but this really resonated with me today.  I wanted to share it with you guys…

“So my message is in whichever realm, be it going into space or going into the deep sea, you have to balance the yin and yang of caution and boldness, risk aversion and risk taking, fear and fearlessness. No great accomplishment takes place, whether it be a movie or a deep ocean expedition, or a space mission, without a kind of dynamic equipoise between the two. Luck is not a factor. Hope is not a strategy. Fear is not an option.” — James Cameron

Too bad he didn’t mention agile adoption and transformation ;-)

That last blurb should probably have read:
Luck is not a factor – money is. Hope is not a strategy – multi-millions in marketing is. Fear is not an option – rereleasing the same content 17 different times is.

    :)

Sounds like someone has some issues with James Cameron ;-) I don’t know much about the man, but it is hard not to be familiar with this work. This quote resonated with me for many reasons, many of which I’d be happy to share over a beer sometime!

Wow, lots of vitriol for James Cameron. I love the quote, I find it very inspirational and on point for the work we do.
